Lani Norman comes from an Aggie family and graduated from Texas A&M University. She started her teaching career as a high school English teacher in a district outside Houston, Waller ISD. She moved to North Texas after getting married where she continued her teaching career in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD at the nationally recognized high school, Colleyville Heritage High School. She served as an English teacher before becoming a Learning Liaison as part of the first instructional coaching model in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. During this time she partnered with campus and district leadership to move instruction forward at a middle school and a 6A high school while obtaining her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. Lani then became an Assistant Principal at Colleyville Middle School and is currently pursuing her doctorate degree at the University of North Texas. Lani has presented not only locally, but nationally at Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction conferences. She has developed systems and relationships that establish a culture of instruction and create a pipeline of innovation. Lani is excited to serve Life School in the capacity of Director of Academics. She is passionate about teachers, learning and most importantly, our students.
