Troy Mooney prioritizes building positive relationships and ensuring that every district and campus leader is responsive, accessible, visible, and empathetic with their stakeholders. As the Chief Academic Officer for Life Schools, Troy is responsible for improving student outcomes while leading and managing campus principals and curriculum staff.
In pursuit of his passion to develop leaders, he has co-created a tiered leadership preparation program that includes cohort based authentic experiences for participants, coaching training for mentors, the iTunes PRIMER leadership podcasts, the #PrimerLead YouTube curriculum, and ongoing social media discussion forums. In any year 1 in 8 Life School staff are actively enrolled in one of four leadership development programs. In 2013 Troy launched www.troymooney.com a website dedicated to Developing Principled Leaders in a Compromising World. He has delivered numerous presentations, written journal articles, and co-authored a guide for new principals.
Troy is an active participant in his community through teaching both youth and adults at his church, serving as a youth coach, and volunteering in local organizations and associations.
