Life School Lancaster held a mock student election Tuesday, November 4th. In preparation for this event, Principal DeWayne Parker read information about each candidate for 5 consecutive days. The polls were open from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Classes had scheduled times to come and vote. Also faculty, staff and any parents on campus voted.

The candidates were presidential nominees, Barack Obama and John McCain. The winner was announced Wednesday, November 5th and compared with the national vote so the students could see how our vote, as a school, compared to the United States, as a whole.

Life School Lancaster had its first Parents-As-Partners meeting on Thursday, September 11, 2008. Parents as Partners is a volunteer organization that enables parental involvement in campus activities and  programs.  At the orientation, volunteers were given choices of where they could serve. Some of the areas included fundraising assistance, special programs/events (assemblies, Parent Coffees, Field Day, etc.), hospitality (teacher appreciation).  Life School Lancaster appreciates each parent volunteer. It is not too late to sign up.  Just stop by the school office and ask for an orientation packet or call 972-274-7950.
