Life School McKinney offices will be closing on Friday, June 11th at 3:30 pm. All inquiries should be made to Life School Central Office. The phone number is 972.274.7900. The address is 950 S. I-35E Lancaster, TX 75165.

Due to the lack of space and feasibility of our Life School McKinney location and inability to find a new host that would meet the needs of our students, Life School McKinney will close at the end of the 2009-2010 school year.  In keeping with our district calendar, the last day of school will be on May 27, 2010.   Life School McKinney offices will be open until June 11, 2010.  Due to these circumstances, students at the McKinney location are being offered the opportunity to transfer to one of the other Life School campuses and the staff will also be given the opportunity to transition to one of these locations.   Students, parents and staff, we thank you for making Life School McKinney a success.

During the Life School McKinney African American Museum, students completed art projects in honor of some African American citizens that have helped shape our nation’s history. 

Some of the art projects included Kindergarten’s “unity wreath” and excerpts from Dr. Martin Luther King’s passionate “I Have a Dream” proclamation.

In honor of Harriett Tubman, first graders made a large apple tree that hung from ceiling to floor. It was covered with apples that contained symbols of freedom.
