As part of Job Week, Life School Red Oak kindergarteners were thrilled to get a visit from Red Oak firefighters – including their fire truck! Firefighter Kyle Taylor, who is the father of a Life School Red Oak student, taught the students about his job, uniform, and fire truck. Other Red Oak firefighters climbed the truck ladder for the children and gave each child a mini-tour of the inside of the truck. The visit ended with many high-fives and a fire safety coloring book for each child. Life School’s Parenting Program encourages parents to participate by sharing part of their careers. Videos rolled and cameras flashed as parents captured their student’s performance at Life School Red Oak’s Preview Talent Show on Tuesday, September 30. Kindergarten through third grade students displayed an amazing panorama of talent under the theme of “Life School Has Talent.” Featured acts included vocal solos and duets, piano and guitar solos, comedy skits, a puppet show, dancer ensembles, and karate. Another portion of the Talent Show was the artwork displayed by Kindergarten through sixth grade students.
