Life School Superintendent Brent Wilson has invited elected officials, Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce members, business leaders and local residents to attend the dedication of the Veteran’s Memorial Wall at the Life School Red Oak Secondary Campus in Waxahachie on Thursday, March 22, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. The campus is located at 3295 North U.S. Hwy. 77 in Waxahachie.
The purpose of the Veteran’s Memorial Wall is to honor Ellis County soldiers who have paid the ultimate price in the line of duty from September 11, 2001 to the present time. Pfc. Joel Ramirez, an Ellis County soldier who was killed in Afghanistan last April, will be honored during the dedication ceremony. His name will be the first placed on the wall.
Life School Superintendent Brent Wilson expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to house the memorial wall at the Life School campus. He stated, “It is our duty as citizens to remember those who serve our nation and protect our freedom. Life School is honored to host this memorial for our Ellis County fallen soldiers.”
