On Friday, May 29, 2009, the 2008-09 Life School Oak Cliff graduating class proudly marched into the auditorium amongst cheers from family members and friends. It was their final moment as Life School students. State Board of Education member Mavis Knight welcomed guests, and seniors led in various areas of the ceremony. Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson gave the congratulatory address exhorting students to make a positive impact on their generation. Valedictorian Megan Ross encouraged fellow seniors to stand firm when faced with obstacles and to believe for the impossible. Salutatorian Chris Pursell urged fellow classmates to be world changers in their areas of influence. The evening was filled with warm memories and anticipation of a bright future. As these seventy-seven graduates go forth to higher education and careers, it is with the care and support of many who have helped to build a solid foundation in their lives. Life School congratulates parents, teachers, and graduates on this momentous event.
