Life School Red Oak Food Drive

food-bank.jpgOn Friday, May 21st and 22nd the freshman class at Life School Red Oak conducted a food drive.  They took the donated cans to the North Texas Food Bank.  There, the students boxed up cans and other food items.  Everyone had a wonderful time and many students remarked that they were interested in volunteering during the summer months.   It was exciting to see students enthusiastic about helping others in our community.

The North Texas Food Bank was established in 1982 to address the critical issue of hunger in the North Texas area by securing donations of surplus unmarketable, but wholesome, foods and grocery products for distribution through a network of charitable organizations dedicated to feeding the hungry in 13 North Texas Counties, including Dallas, Denton, Collin, Fannin, Rockwall, Hunt, Grayson, Kaufman, Ellis, Navarro, Lamar, Delta and Hopkins.
