Tuesday April 6th was a very exciting day for 2nd grade at Life School. So much anticipation had been built up, and the day finally came. We boarded the buses at 9:15 am. The kids were busting at the seams. For some students, the bus ride seemed to be their favorite part as we passed through all the big buildings of Dallas to the Majestic Theater in downtown Dallas.
We arrived at the theater and were escorted into the gorgeous Majestic Theater by the theater workers. The theater was amazing. It had 3 levels and we sat on the lowest level. The entire theater was filled with children, teachers, and parents. The show finally started. The play that we saw was Max and Ruby.
It was very entertaining for the children. It was filled with humor, singing, and dancing. All the students had smiles on their faces the entire time.
After the musical, we boarded back onto the buses to drive to a park where the kids would have lunch and play on the huge wooden playground.
It was excellent. They played for a while and we wrapped up the day with a short talent show. Even a few of the teachers showed off some of their “talents”.
We arrived back at school all tired and happy from a great field trip.
