Life School Founder and Chancellor Dr. Tom Wilson has invited Life School parents and constituents to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Life School Cedar Hill campus on Thursday, September 16, 2010, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The ceremony will be held at the new campus located at 129 W. Wintergreen Road.
Dr. Tom Wilson expressed, “We’re excited about the opportunity to offer quality education in a private school environment without the high cost of tuition for kindergarten through third grade students at our new Life School facility in Cedar Hill. Everything we do is based on our mission to train leaders with life skills for the twenty-first century by establishing strong academics, character training, and a parenting program. Our organization is established on a love for children and a desire to see each one reach his/her full potential.”
Life School opened as a free tuition, open enrollment public charter school in 1998 at its Oak Cliff campus with 266 students. Thirteen years later, the T.E.A. “recognized” district serves approximately 3,800 students on five campuses in Cedar Hill, Lancaster, Oak Cliff, Red Oak, and Waxahachie.
The Cedar Hill campus opened on Monday, August 16th, with 246 students. Principal Carlotta Mitchell said, “It is an honor to serve as instructional leader/principal at the new campus. We’ve assembled a dynamic team, and we are implementing research-based instructional strategies to ensure all students reach their full potential.”
Openings are available for Kindergarten through 3rd grades. To receive a student application, contact Registrar Jessica Cowan at 972.293.2825 or visit www.lifeschools.net.
