Life School Oak Cliff elementary students celebrated Cinco de Mayo on Monday, May 5th. Each grade level rotated between classrooms to get a taste of Hispanic culture. Life School staff members and volunteers facilitated the classroom activities.
Students enjoyed Hispanic music and dance, handmade crafts, delicious snacks, games and a candy-filled piñata. For the entire month of May students participated in morning announcements about Hispanic-Americans who have made significant contributions to American culture. Students enjoyed the activities and gained a new appreciation for Hispanic history and culture.
