Life School Oak Cliff Athletic Banquet


athletic-banquet-5208-047.jpgLife School Superintendent Dr. Tom Wilson spoke about Winning at Life to the athletes and their families at the annual Life School Oak Cliff Athletic Banquet. The tremendous accomplishments of the Lions and Lady Lions were recognized at the banquet as well as the announcement of the male and female athletes of the year. 

Lillian Ruiz and Eugene Sarmiento were named Scholar Athletes of the Year , while Antwenequa Linville-Green and Crayton Nicholson received Athlete of the Year honors.  Highlights of this year include the girls basketball team’s 15-game win streak capped off with a district championship.  The girls track team also won a district title, finished third at regionals, athletic-banquet-5208-006.jpgand qualified two relay teams and a high jumper to the state meet in Austin.  The boys powerlifting team had a regional champion and state qualifier, while the cross country teams and girls golf team sent several athletes to regional competition.  The boys basketball team qualified for the playoffs for the third straight year and the football team achieved Life School’s first-ever district win. Soccer made its debut this year and made a strong showing against area teams. Congratulations to all the student athletes and coaches for a job well done.
