LSOC Theatre Arts Students Visit Dallas Museum of Art

theater arts the dma.thumbnail LSOC Theatre Arts Students Visit Dallas Museum of Art The Theatre Arts classes went to the Dallas Museum of Art to view the exhibit named “All the World’s a Stage.” Students were able to view performance art, costumes, and music from cultures all over the world and from ancient times to present. There were some 3-D music, dance, and abstract inspirational pieces that were especially enjoyable to students. Some students commented on the visit.

Senior Chris Baker: “You get to see how different cultures would use performances like for funerals and major ceremonies. They showed major events that benefit everybody.”

Senior Shannon Garner: “I felt that the museum showed us how to make different facial expressions, be serious with acting, and how different cultures sing songs.”

The visit to the Dallas Museum of Arts was beneficial to the students. It is an experience they will long remember, and it will influence their perspective in art, culture, and human behavior.
