Life School Oak Cliff Student receives Full Scholarship for Air Force Academy Football

Today was a very exciting day for Life School.  Air Force Head FB Coach Troy Calhoun was on campus for Life OC Running Back Jakeem Patrick's home visit.  The meeting was to finalize plans and have a question/answer session between Coach Calhoun, Jakeem & his family and our coaches.  I have had many proud moments here at Life School and this is at the top of the list.  This is an opportunity of a lifetime for this young man.  He is receiving a full scholarship to play football at The Air Force Academy.  The scholarship is valued at over $400,000 and we are very happy for Jakeem and his family.

This all happened not only because of the determination and hard work Jakeem has put in, but I believe because of the support and relentless efforts of Head Coach Carlos Turner and Assistant Coach Stevan Hartford.  Coach Turner pours his heart and soul into these young men modeling and driving into them his core values and Coach Hartford works as our recruiting coordinator and oversees academic progress/GPA, tests scores needed, gets the kids registered,  highlight tapes and is the contact with the college coaches. These two coaches have a passion for changing student-athlete's lives and what better way to do it than this.  I just wanted to brag on our coaches and Jakeem for this tremendous accomplishment the entire Life School Family can be proud of.  Signing day will be Feb 1st at Life Oak Cliff which we will make this 100% official and you all are welcome to be here for this special day which we will also be honoring D-1 signee basketball player Dejanee Terrell to The University of North Texas.

Thank you for trusting us and giving us the resources needed to change these students lives forever.
