Hi!   I am the Special Education Manager at Life School. .   I am married with four children, as well as three fur babies.    With over 20 years’ experience in education working as a Special Education Teacher, Diagnostician, and Special Education Coordinator, I am passionate about helping student’s learn and succeed as they grow into their fullest potential..

Kelsey Whiteley, Special Education Instructional Coach


Hello! My name is Kelsey Whiteley and I am a Special Educational Instructional Coach for Life Schools. I am married with two children and live near Cedar Creek Lake. My husband and I live on 75 acres and run about 50 head of cattle. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University and I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree with A&M Commerce.

My mission at Life School is to work with all secondary special education staff, teachers, students and parents to help create learning opportunities that will prepare our students for life after High School. I will work hard to see that every special education student at Life Schools graduate on time, college and/or career ready. I look forward to working with the wonderful Life School staff and families to help better prepare our special education students for their future.

Ronda Johnson, Special Education Specialist


Hello, my name is Ronda Johnson.  I am the Special Education Specialist.  Many of you know me as I have worked for Life School Red Oak for the past twelve years. I have worked as a sped aide, resource teacher, behavior teacher, and Life Skills teacher. I look forward to my new position and am excited about the opportunity the support you and your special education teams this coming school year. 


Carla Meyer, Special Education Transition Specialist


I have been with Life School since 2015 where I taught for three years as an Inclusion and Math Resource Teacher.  I also have two years of experience as a paraprofessional in Midlothian ISD where I worked in Inclusion and Life Skills.  Prior to my career in Education, I spent seven years active duty in the US Air Force and 12 years working for the government in Administration.  I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities through Thomas Edison State University in 2006 and my Alternate Certification through A&M Commerce in 2015.  I am currently working towards my Masters in Special Education through Lamar University.  I am married to my husband Bill and have three children, Kristen, Julie and Trevor.

Kally Howard, Sped Dept Administrative Assistant


Hi, my name is Kally Palmer. I was married over the summer so my name will be changing to Kally Howard very soon! I have been with Life School for 11 years. The first few years with Life School were at the Oak Cliff campuses as a paraprofessional and I have since moved to Central Office as the Special Education Administrative Assistant/PEIMS/Records Clerk. My husband’s name is Dell Howard and we have a home in Arlington. I look forward to working closely with each of you as the Special Education Administrative Assistant this year!  

Marisol Macias, Sped Dept Records Clerk


Hello, my name is Marisol Macias. I am the Administrative Support for the Special Education Department. I joined Life School’s Special Education Department in August 2015 at the Central Office. I am married and have 2 children. I have previously work with the Special Education Department as the Special Education Program Coordinator for another district. I am very happy to be working here at Life School and I look forward working with an awesome Special Education Staff.
